A final decision has been made for Hadley Farms Bakery to relocate from Smithsburg to the Wharf Road Industrial Park in Washington Township.
“We are 110 percent committed to Franklin County,” Chris DeHaan, vice president, said this morning.
The decision caps a 10-month process for the family-owned company, which has outgrown its facility on Main Street in Smithsburg. The company had $16 million in sales in 2014, made 53 million croissants in 2015 and is looking for more room to accommodate new products, additional certifications and improved efficiency.
