SUNBURY-Weis Markets plans to build three stores this year, once of which will be in Enola.
The announcement was made Thursday at the annual shareholders meeting of the Sunbury-based chain. No other details were released about the new stores.
Chairman and CEO Jonathan H. Weis told stockholders the company plans to spend $140 million this year on capital projects that, besides the three new stores, will include three Gas N' Go locations.
Twenty stores will be remodeled, with 14 of them getting beer cafes, he said. Currently, 41 Weis stores have beer cafes,
