The Food Institute will hold a two-day course May 16-17, 2016, to assist food companies in complying with requirements specified in the Preventive Control for Human Food regulation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The Preventive Control for Human Food regulation requires food companies to train a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual, who will be responsible for developing a food safety plan for the company’s manufacturing facilities. Participants who complete the course, developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) and recognized by the Food and Drug Administration, will receive official FSPCA Preventive Controls Qualified Individual certification, which is administered by the Association of Food and Drug Officials and the International Food Protection Training Institute. The course will be held at the WeiserMazars Offices, 399 Thornall Street, Edison, New Jersey. For more information about the course and to register, click here.
