SEASIDE The Woodburn Tulip Festival has had the frosting applied to their 25th
anniversary birthday cake at the annual Northwest Festivals and Events
Conference in Seaside. The festival was judged by the Oregon Festivals and
Events Association as the states best festival or event with a budget over
$150,000 or more than 40,000 attendees.
The Tulip Festival is Oregons largest spring festival with 160,000 visitors
over its 30-day run. What began as a weekend pastime to see acres and acres of
flowers has grown into a huge family event. Flower-lovers wander the tulip and
daffodil fields, shop the festival gift shop and country store, purchase cut
flowers and bulbs to take home. Children love the many kids activities offered
at the farm.
Weekends feature arts and crafts, live music, great food and Oregon wines.
