Green Giant Fresh Promotes Two To Vice President

Salinas, CA – Green Giant™ Fresh has announced promotions in key roles in February 2016.

Director of Information Technology, William Cheung, was promoted to Vice President Information Technology. During William’s 12-year tenure, his accomplishments have been many, and his value immeasurable.

At his direction, the company transitioned to cloud-based services including email, phone and software deployment—an arduous task with far-reaching benefits. This improvement helped reduce costs and allow IT to focus on other important activities to grow the company.

In addition to many other cost-saving initiatives Cheung spearheaded, the implementation of an appointment system he oversaw reduced truck wait time and improved customer service.

Jennifer Fancher was promoted from Director of Marketing to Vice President Marketing. During

Jennifer’s nearly 5-year tenure, she developed the company’s first ever supplier-funded Category Management Program, which continues to grow and offer benefit and support to both the internal sales and marketing teams, as well as retail customers.

In addition to her many achievements, a main focus for Jennifer has been licensing and growing the product line to over 300 items, in addition to a packaging revamp for all US & Europe Green Giant Fresh packages.

Jennifer’s industry awards and acknowledgements include The Packer’s Women in Produce in 2014 and inclusion in Produce Business’ 40 under 40 in 2011.

In addition to these recent appointments, Assistant Category Manager Myles Echenique has been promoted to Category Manager. After interning for the company in 2010 and TrueTrac in 2011, Myles joined the team as a fulltime employee in 2014. Of his many tasks, Myles is responsible for a myriad of reports, category reviews and analysis of trends which provide insights to customers, staff, and suppliers alike.
