PBH Hosts Supermarket Dietitians At NGA Expo

Hockessin, Del. –  Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) hosted a small group of dietitians for the second consecutive year at the 2016 National Grocers Association (NGA) Expo, February 28-March 1 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The program demonstrates PBH's continued support of small chain and independent retailers. The program included: Complimentary attendance at all NGA breakfast sessions and workshops, networking dinners with PBH staff members and members of PBH’s Board of Trustees, as well as time spent on the expo floor, which included visiting the booths of sponsors and PBH board members.  Dietitians from the following supermarkets were involved in the inaugural program at NGA:

* Giant Food

* Harmons Grocery

* Pyramid Foods

* ShopRite of Commack

* ShopRite of Morrell Plaza

“It was very exciting for PBH to bring our second group of supermarket dietitians from small chains and independents to the NGA Expo,” says Elizabeth Pivonka, President and CEO of PBH. “The program was quite successful for PBH, NGA, and the small group of dietitians. We’re looking forward to building upon the successes and learnings from this year for the 2017 program.”
