Amazon Is Delivering Valentine Flowers In An Hour In Baltimore

People are notorious for waiting until the last minute to pick up flowers for that special someone on Valentine's Day — rushing to grab something on the way home from work with just a few hours to spare.

National companies are trying take the worry out of ordering flowers and gifts through same-day, and even same-hour delivery. Local florists, however, say they aren't concerned.

Starting Wednesday, Amazon is launching a flower delivery service in Baltimore as part of its Prime Now program. Customers will be able to have flowers delivered in as little as an hour if they are a member of the $99-a-year Prime service. Two-hour delivery is free through Valentine's Day, and one-hour delivery costs $7.99.
