EU: Total Produce To Pilot 'Total Talk' Social Media Platform At Fruit Logistica 2016

Total Produce are set to use the occasion of Fruit Logistica 2016 to pilot their new in-house Social Media platform, “Total Talk.” Combining the best features of the most popular social media channels, Total Talk will be trialled on desktop and smartphone applications. Designed to enable content sharing, be that messages, photo’s, videos or documents across technical teams, buying departments and commercial divisions throughout Total Produce, Total Talk will facilitate seamless, instant mobile communications between colleagues, irrespective of the division, company or country in which they operate.

Describing the platform as contemporary, convenient and intuitive, Vincent Dolan, Total Produce Marketing Director believes that, though Total Talk users will be confined to group employees, ultimately it will be customers and producers who benefit. “Total Talk is all about promoting transparency, pooling expertise and sharing core competencies”, he says. “It literally places the combined experience of Total Produce people across the globe into the palm of the hand of each of our local experts”, he argues- with Total Talk acting as a conduit through which opportunities can be shared and contingencies managed in real time. ”The objective”, he says “is to bring our collective resources to bear ever more effectively, efficiently and creatively where it matters most; locally- which is what we’re all about.”

Total Talk will be trialled among attendees at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, where group communications concerning the event will be relayed through the platform, before being extended to commercial departments across the group in the second quarter of 2016. Says Dolan “It’s fitting that Total Talk will be launched at Fruit Logistica, in that, from a Total Produce perspective they serve the same purpose; bringing our people together to facilitate a better service for our customers”. Total Produce will be located in Hall 5.2 on stand A07 in Berlin.
