Port Washington, NY – Philip & Carl DelPrete, Co-Owners of RBEST Produce, Inc., announced today that James Bonaro has been appointed Senior Vice President with a partnership interest in the company.
Mr. Bonaro has served RBEST Produce for the past 30 years. He began his career as an assistant buyer in the Hunts Point Market in 1979 and then moved on to his own business for the next few years before joining RBEST in 1985.
Originally hired as warehouse supervisor, he was soon promoted to manager of quality control and warehouse operations. In 2002, James took on the responsibility as director of the purchasing department and has been instrumental in developing relationships with premium labels and raising the bar on quality products sold through the company. Mr. Bonaro was promoted to Vice President, five years ago. Most recently, James managed the relocation and construction of the new 70,000 sq ft state of the art PRIMUS certified facility in Port Washington, NY.
“James has proven his ability to lead the company by example of hard work and dedication. We are confident that he will lead the team and the company to new levels of growth in our new facility” stated the Del Prete’s.
RBEST Produce, Inc. was founded over 35 years ago and has grown steadily through the years. The Company currently operates from its new state of the art facility in Port Washington, NY, and distributes high quality fresh produce to Supermarkets and Food Service operations with conventional, organic and tropical produce throughout NY, NJ, Conn, Mass, Pa, & R.I.
