SIMBA Traceability Solution Announces Updated Inventory Module

Redmond – WA – Dynamic Systems, Inc., a Redmond, Washington software developer specializing in barcode data collection has announced the release of an updated inventory Module for SIMBA that gives an accurate up to the minute inventory count. And SIMBA adheres to current PTI Food Traceability requirements.

Increase production speed and traceability    The SIMBA (Specialized Inventory Management with Barcode Accuracy) system solves the problem of how to produce and track complete product labeling for fresh food in real time.

SIMBA allows a production line worker to change content of product labels with a fingertip on the computer, capturing product information (weight, size, color, and grade) and printing a label with a barcode identifier for that tote or carton.

The label information is stored in the SIMBA Food Traceability System, which then provides production and inventory reports.  The cartons may be accumulated onto a pallet, and tracked with a single pallet identifier.  This gives the user complete traceability of the product from receiving to shipping with real time inventory tracking.

Logistics:    At the time of shipping, the Logistics feature of SIMBA tracks each carton or pallet onto a specific van.  A Bill of Lading is then produced automatically and inventory is reduced.  This feature not only saves time in the shipping process, it eliminates disputes with the customer regarding what was actually shipped.

Results:  Key results from implementing the SIMBA software include increased production speed; the ability to get same day, accurate production reports; ability to fulfill traceability requirements; real-time, accurate inventory; professional looking carton and pallet labels; and expedited van loading.
