#HealthyTeens Campaign To Connect Teens And Produce Industry

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), a national Career and Technical Student Organization with nearly 155,000 members, has partnered with The Produce Mom for the November #HealthyTeens campaign.  The campaign will kick off tomorrow with a Twitter chat, which will include co-hosts from The Produce Mom Family of Partners & other teen-serving organizations:

Sandy Spavone, Executive Director of FCCLA, praised the host lineup, “The Produce Mom has been a stellar partner for FCCLA.  The #HealthyTeens campaign & Twitter party will provide our students with opportunity to directly converse with the fresh produce brands that are part of our Family & Consumer Sciences classrooms, as well as our home kitchens.”

The #HealthyTeens campaign will continue throughout November with various activation between The Produce Mom & FCCLA.  Lori Taylor, Founder & Owner of The Produce Mom is scheduled to speak at the FCCLA National Cluster Meeting later this month.  Taylor’s speech will focus on the critical role that personal wellness & ethics play in one’s ability to reach career goals.  “The fresh produce industry has taught me so much about healthy living and has certainly provided me with incredible career opportunities.  I am honored to work with FCCLA and communicate our industry’s mission to increase consumption of produce to teens.”
