A WAGYU steak from an Australian beef company has been crowned the world’s best steak.
The 450-day grain-fed piece of wagyu Angus cross from Jack’s Creek took out the top prize at the inaugural World Steak Challenge, held in London last week.
The winning piece was entered by the company’s European importer Albers GmbH. Steaks from more than 10 countries, including USA, Japan, Uruguay, Germany and Australia, were entered.
