A McLean County meat processor earns a designation usually reserved for the food it makes.
The Kentucky Department of Agriculture awards Beef and Bacon Custom Processing the Kentucky Proud Designation. The company is located a few miles west of Beech Grove on Kentucky 56.
It started more than two months ago and makes homegrown beef, pork, and other products. Owners say they started it to meet growing demand for locally made food.
