Sometimes after a long day at work, the last thing you want to do is spend another hour away picking up groceries. Luckily, there's an app for that.
Shipt, an "on-demand grocery delivery service," based out of Birmingham, Alabama, has partnered with Fry's Food Stores and will begin delivering groceries to homes across metro Phoenix Oct. 6.
Users can download the Shipt app on their smartphone and start picking out groceries right away, including perishables like fruits, meat and dairy. Users can also specify special kinds of orders they want, like green bananas or not-yet-ripe tomatoes, if desired, and offer the following prices:
