American Seafoods Recognized As Anchor Partner By Seafood Nutrition Partnership

Arlington, VA – The nonprofit Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP) has announced its formal recognition of American Seafoods Group as an Anchor Partner within SNP’s Chairman’s Campaign Circle. This honor acknowledges the organization’s significant support of SNP’s upcoming national public health education campaign, which launches in October 2015 as an effort to build awareness about the essential nutritional benefits from eating seafood at least twice a week.

“Our commitment to our customers’ well-being shows not only in the quality of our products,” said Bernt Bodal, chairman and CEO of American Seafoods Group, “but in our efforts to bring them scientifically sound information about the health benefits of seafood. That’s why we’re honored to support SNP’s public health campaign.”

“We are grateful that American Seafoods Group is joining us in our campaign to address the public health crisis in the U.S., where 70% of deaths are from preventable diseases,” said Linda Cornish, executive director of Seafood Nutrition Partnership. “Together with American Seafoods Group we hope to inspire a healthier America by promoting a nutrient-rich diet that includes seafood.”
