The Mrs. Dunster's bakery of New Brunswick has expanded with the purchase of Snair's Golden Grain Bakery of Borden-Carleton, P.E.I.
Mrs. Dunster's, based in Sussex, is best known for its doughnuts, while Snair's produces breads and rolls for retail stores and restaurants around the Maritimes.
"It's a commercial bakery that makes really high-quality artisan bread and rolls. At Mrs. Dunster's we do the same thing, but we do it more on the sweet side," said Mrs. Dunster's president Blair Hyslop.
"It's a nice fit for the company with respect to products."
