MELBOURNE – Are you ready for more of the red/blue debate?
Of course, in this case it’s about crabs — not politics.
Moon’s Seafood Market in Melbourne has started selling the Atlantic deep-sea red crab, staking the claim as the only seafood market in Brevard County to have the rusty-hued crustaceans in its line-up. Moon’s has the crabs trucked in from Virginia once a week.
Red crabs are heftier and have a sweeter-tasting meat compared with their blue brethren of the sea. Many compare the taste of the red crab meat to the snow crab.
