Big Sky Man Finds Niche With Fresh-Baked Cookies

BIG SKY – It’s hard to tell if it’s the cookies or Uncle Dan himself that draws customers to the Uncle Dan’s Cookies booth at Big Sky’s weekly farmers’ market.

Dan Wade started his cookie company in 1984. He’s sold the cookies on the slopes at Big Sky Resort, out of a restaurant he owned, and now most of cookies are bought off the shelves at area grocery and convenience stores.

The weekly booth at the farmers’ market is a chance for Wade to meet and interact with his customers, and for those customers meeting Wade, it adds a little extra spice to his already-excellent cookies.
