Walmart plans to open two of its small format concepts, called Neighborhood Market Stores, in St. Charles County.
The locations will be at 45 Sutters Mill Road and 3031 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St. Peters.
The Neighborhood Market Stores are designed to give customers quick access to fresh produce, groceries, pharmacy and other products typically found in a larger Walmart. The St. Peters locations will also feature organic selections, a deli and bakery, prepared meals and beauty, baby and pet supplies. Construction began in early July, company officials said in a release. The stores, which will employ 200 staffers total, are slated to open in early 2016.
