FloraHolland Offers Update On Possible Import Ban On Dutch Flowers

There is no official statement on a possible boycott of the export of Dutch flowers to Russia. The Dutch and international media, however, have carried reports on a possible boycott.

"RosSelkhozNadsor can put a ban on flowers and plants from:

  • Germany
  • Czech Republic
  • Italy
  • Poland
  • Lithuania
  • Latvia

That is because phytosanitary services of these countries certify flowers grown in Netherlands and don't provide security of its delivery to Russia" – shares Interfax news agency on Saturday, July 25th.

A source at RosSelkhozNadsor has shared to Interfax that they [RSN] have analyzed flower supply from the Netherlands and have detected violation of quarantine norms in 606 cases throughout the year. Half of the cases refer to the products grown in Holland.
