INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Tanimura & Antle is the 2015 Produce Mom Partner of the Year. The recognition was announced on Monday at the Indianapolis Colts Complex during The Produce Mom® annual meeting. The Produce Mom’s annual meeting is an invitation-only event that provides partners with networking opportunities and an intimate review of The Produce Mom’s brand development. This year over fifty representatives of various industries were in attendance, including fresh produce, education, healthcare, non-for-profit, media and professional sports.
During the meeting Lori Taylor, Founder of The Produce Mom, recognized previous recipients Sage Fruit Company and NatureFresh™ Farms before announcing Tanimura & Antle as the 2015 Produce Mom Partner of the Year. Taylor explained, “If I had to pick 1 word to describe 2015 for The Produce Mom it would be progression. One of the most progressive moments of my career and this brand’s development was in February when I served as the keynote speaker at the Southwest Ag Summit in Yuma, Arizona. Caitlin Antle Wilson, along with other members of the T&A employee family, recommended me for that role.”
Tanimura & Antle has been part of The Produce Mom Family of Partners for two years. Together, T&A and The Produce Mom have collaborated for 8 social media campaigns, 4 live television cooking segments, 2 social responsibility campaigns, 2 farm tours, and more. The partners have leaned on each other to launch new brand initiatives, notably: The Produce Mom’s “Ask The Produce Expert” series which profiled Brian Antle, and Tanimura & Antle’s “Family Farming” blog which has been heavily promoted by The Produce Mom.
“Tanimura & Antle takes great pride in being one of the senior members of The Produce Mom Family of Partners. The Produce Mom is a trailblazing brand for the produce industry. We are honored to be recognized as the 2015 Produce Mom Partner of the Year!” exclaimed Caitlin Antle Wilson.
In addition to the Partner of the Year presentation, guests at The Produce Mom’s annual meeting were treated to an encore presentation of the Find Your Favorite® School Show, performed by the Indianapolis Colts’ Mascot & guest-starring Colts Players, as well as Olympic Gold Medalists and other Professional Athletes. Find Your Favorite is The Produce Mom’s educational program which uses the influence of professional athletes, artists and community heroes to glamorize fresh produce and entice children to try more fruit and vegetable varieties. Find Your Favorite was launched in 2012 and is currently supported by the State Department of Education & the USDA Team Nutrition Program.
