ROCHESTER, Ind. — Dean Foods plans to shut down its Rochester dairy plant this fall in a move that will eliminate nearly 140 jobs.
The company has notified state officials that it expects to close its plant in Rochester in mid-October. The Dallas-based company said it expects the 138 job cuts to be permanent.
Dean Foods spokesman Dustin Cox told the (Logansport) Pharos-Tribune (http://bit.ly/1SrqGC5 ) the decision to close was made to eliminate redundancy in the company's operations.
