La Canada Flintridge, Calif., February 18, 2010 — After the devastating earthquake in Haiti this past January the Allen Lund Company, a national third-party transportation broker, donated valuable transportation services to Mission Haiti, an outreach program at Holy Family Church, South Pasadena, Calif.
On February 12, 2010, a flatbed truck with three donated generators by Quinn Power Systems, City of Industry, Calif., headed to Florida and then transloaded onto a ship bound for Haiti. “Donating the flatbed truck service made the most sense to get the generators to Haiti as quickly as possible,” said Allen Lund, president and founder, Allen Lund Company.
Over the years, the Allen Lund Company has supported Holy Family Church’s Mission Haiti outreach program by donating several shipments of aid related items. In 2007, the company donated the transportation of a water tanker and pick-up truck to provide Haitians with clean, healthy, disease-free water. Since the earthquake, the water tanker has been in use 24-hours a day, which is vital to the victims of the earthquake and recovery efforts. “We are proud to work with Holy Family Church and support their continued effort with the Mission Haiti program,” said Lund.
