MONTAGUE – With less than two weeks to go in the season, lobster landings are decreasing across the province while prices are on the rise.
A major demand for lobster has prompted buyers to raise the price of lobster to $4.50 to $5.00 a pound – that’s up 25 cents since the start of the season.
However, price increases are fuelled by demand and landings have been falling off due to some fickle weather.
