Fast-growing Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage will replace two well-known Denver metro businesses later this year.
One of the new locations is on the site formerly occupied by Elitch Lanes at 38th Avenue and Tennyson Street in northwest Denver, which announced that it would close after 63 years. The historic building will be remodeled into a Natural Grocers (NYSE: NGVC) store.
The other site was formerly home to a Gunther Toody's restaurant at 4500 E. Alameda Ave. that has been torn down. A new building will be constructed in its place, with an anticipated opening date this fall, though an exact date is not yet known. The store will be designed and built similarly to a recently opened Natural Grocers store in Wheat Ridge.
