WINCHESTER, VA – On April 12, Icing Images joined the American Culinary Federation at their annual Signature Series Event, ChefConnect, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Several of Icing Images products were featured at the event, including Icing Images Edible Printers, iDesigns™, and iPrint™. Due to the innovation that has brought technology into the edible world, these products allow chefs to print edible images that accent their culinary designs. In addition, chefs can browse over 1600 different images that are all licensed for edibles use to incorporate in their projects.
Over 400 chefs, students, and food service professionals gathered for hands on workshops, demonstrations, and seminars. Chef Michael Terry, a Certified Master Sugar Artist of BakeryPros, featured a demonstration that encompassed the latest innovative Edible Technology. Chef Terry's foundation for his demonstration highlighted that edible technology has enabled pastry chefs to enter new heights, allowing technology to assist chefs in the kitchen, and speeding up productivity without taking away the professional skills that embody pastry chefs.
Another brilliant Icing Images product spotlighted at the event was the Silhouette Cameo, an Electronic Cutting System. When combined with an edible design or a Premium Luster Edible Icing Sheet, the Silhouette Cameo provides chefs the ability to easily cut edible designs. Chefs can choose to use the Icing Images Premium™ Icing Sheets or flavored Premium Wafer Paper, a product newly introduced to the US market, to compliment the Silhouette Cameo.
A new and ground-breaking product, DECOgel™, was the final item demonstrated at ChefConnect. DECOgel™, allows chefs to easily and safely create edible gems, a highlight to the chefs who previously were limited to Isomalt. Unlike Isomalt, DECOgel™, stays flexible, can go in and out of the refrigerator and freezer and offers more versatility to the edible world.
