Saputo Inc.’s (SAP.T) third-quarter revenue declined on lower cheese prices,
though operational efficiencies helped boost earnings from a year earlier.
The dairy processor said revenue in the third quarter slipped to C$1.50 billion
from C$1.52 billion, reflecting a decline in the average block market per pound
of cheese as well as a strengthening Canadian dollar.
Dairy products contributed C$1.46 billion to revenue, while grocery products
contributed C$39 million.
