As I walked into a coffee shop yesterday morning I caught a faint whiff of eggnog and instantly fell into a Christmas Eve daydream.
“A Christmas Story” was playing in the background as my family sat around the colorfully lit tree, the fireplace roaring. We each grasped our mugs of eggnog and thought of presents we had yet to wrap.
After blinking a few times, I snapped back to reality, where the barista awaited my order. “I’ll have a medium latte, please. Better yet, make that an eggnog latte.”
