The blog will provide consumers with more of an in-depth view of the day to day happenings of this iconic and historic third generation family farm.
“Through social media, we are finding that now more than ever, shoppers want to engage and really know where their food comes from,” says Caitlin Antle Wilson, Sales and Marketing Director. “Blogs can provide the content and answers to many common questions and to help keep important conversations happening online.”
Tanimura & Antle will feature weekly supply forecasts called “The Straight Talk”, guest bloggers, video tours, and other innovative new ways to keep the readers engaged. Wilson states, “With a unique multi-generational family farming story, our website and photos only go so far. We want to have a place to share those stories! So far, we have only used Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest to engage with social media. This blog site should really help bring in the old with the new and tie it all together.”
Coming in 2015, there will also be a new website launch. Until then, Tanimura & Antle encourages followers and industry partners to engage in conversations on social media sites using the hashtag #familyfarming and #taproduce.
