Manitoba's Bothwell Cheese has won big yet again at the British Empire Cheese Show.
The 87th annual show, billed as being the largest display of Canadian and international cheese, saw Bothwell take first place in the marbled cheddar category for the eighth time in the past nine years. The company also took first place in the mild cheddar category and was awarded the highest scoring cheddar in the small plant category.
"This recognition is a proud reflection of our dedicated team," said Kevin Thomson, Bothwell's president, in a prepared statement. "Their hard work and perserverance enables our company to craft award-winning artisanal cheese year after year."
