BioSafe Systems is excited to announce the hire of Brent Byers as Southeast Territory Manager for the agrichemical division, supporting the crop protection, water treatment and food safety business segments. Based in Pittsboro, North Carolina, Brent will spearhead sales goals to establish consistent, direct communication with strategic distribution partners, growers and packers and market influencers.
In his role, Brent is charged with increasing the market penetration and sales of BioSafe’s crop protection, water treatment and food safety solutions. Brent will focus his efforts in establishing strong, lasting relationships with strategic distribution partners and providing technical support to our loyal customers, while establishing relationships with new customers through his diverse and extensive network of relationships from his in-depth background in the southeast agriculture industry.

Brent comes from a background in family farming in North Carolina and has a Bachelor’s degree in agricultural business management from North Carolina State University. He also has a Master’s degree in global business administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management. During his career, Brent has worked in sales and marketing roles for branded products with Bayer Crop Sciences, Timac Agro and Arysta LifeScience through North America and Mexico with a more recent focus on the fungicide and insecticide product segments. Mike Larose, Agriculture Market Segment Manager at BioSafe Systems, says, “Brent’s wide range of experiences and responsibilities will provide us with an invaluable member of our sales team. Brent is also an accomplished entrepreneur in the U.S. and Northern Latin America and is fluent in Spanish. He partnered in the successful launch of an integrated fresh produce farming and distribution business in Central America and is currently part owner of his family farm in North Carolina where they focus on locally grown fresh produce. He and his wife, Malissa, have two young children that they are raising in North Carolina.
