Carlyle, IL — The Maschhoffs, LLC, the largest independent pork producer in the U.S. headquartered in Carlyle, IL, announced today that it has named Mark Greenwood as president. Known worldwide as a swine industry leader and advocate, Greenwood leaves his position as senior vice president of relationship management at AgStar Financial Services, ACA, based in Mankato, Minn.

Greenwood was born and raised on a hog farm in southern Minnesota and has worked in the swine industry for his entire business career. Further, the Minnesota native has earned a world-class reputation by sharing his knowledge and experience at industry conferences throughout the United States, Europe, South America and Canada. He was named one of the National Hog Farmer’s Visionaries of the U.S. Pork Industry in 2005.

In addition to his farm and professional experience, Greenwood earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and minor in economics from Mankato State University.
