Crumbs Bake Shop Is Scheduled To Re-Launch The Key West Key Lime Pie Co.

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL  – Key West Key Lime Pie Co., the successful Florida Key's dessert company, is entering a new chapter in its confectionary future. The iconic brand known locally for its fresh natural ingredients, real key lime juice and handmade graham cracker crust is now partnering with Marcus Lemonis, entrepreneur and host of CNBC's reality series The Profit, and Crumbs Bake Shop. The new and improved "sweet" destination will be re-named Crumbs of Key West and will launch a new signature dish, the Crumbs Pie Bar.

The Crumbs Pie Bar is an individually wrapped frozen slice of fan favorites including Key Lime Pie, Mango Cream Pie, Blueberry Cream Pie and Blood Orange Pie dipped in chocolate. This new frozen dessert will be available at Crumbs Bake Shops and convenience and grocery stores nationwide. Crumbs of Key West will continue to predominately feature Key Lime Pies as its signature dessert, but the product line will soon expand its offerings to include other pies, cupcakes, pastries and cookies.

"I'm excited about our Crumbs Pie Bar because it is the perfect treat for those that would like to enjoy a cool slice of pie — easy and convenient in an individual serving," said Lemonis. "Soon, consumers will be able to enjoy delicious frozen pie flavors at home, even if they can't make it to one of our re-launched Crumbs Bake Shops across the U.S."

Popular national bakery chain Crumbs Bake Shop is undergoing a brand restructuring after closing its doors this past July. Plans are to reopen several Crumbs stores under new direction by Lemonis and Fischer Enterprises, and to expand from a niche cupcake specialty store to a confectionery and baked goods outlet featuring a wide array of product. Lemonis added, "With millions of visitors each year, Key West is an ideal location for tourists to indulge in the locally inspired treats that Crumbs of Key West will offer."

Lemonis initially partnered with the Key West Key Lime Company on the hit CNBC reality series, The Profit, where Lemonis stepped in to assist with the mass production of their desserts and to refocus the business on sales of their proprietary pies. Lemonis will continue to partner with original founders Jim Brush and Allison Sloat, who will receive royalties from the national distribution of the products.

The Key West Key Lime Pie Co is based in Key West, Florida and opened in 2006. They offer a variety of products from their delicious award winning pies to their decadent key lime pie bars. At Key West Key Lime Pie Co. all pies are made with natural ingredients and are handmade, true to their motto "If we don't make it, we don't sell it!"
