Columbine Vineyards Announces Eco-Friendly Sales Bags

A stylish new collection of bags are being rolled out by Columbine Vineyards to feature their high quality table grapes that have been produced exclusively by the Caratan family since 1926.

The new stand-up, innovative design and vibrant color selection were created to catch the consumers’ eye and allow for easier storage.  The bags use 6.5 percent less plastic than the previous bags by eliminating a tear-away seam at the top and inserting additional holes in the bag for more efficient packing. The new bags will continue to feature their Holiday® and Black Globe®   proprietary grapes that are classically beautiful and delicious. Columbine will be launching the new Milano® bag in 2015.

“We are evaluating new technologies that include smarter packaging that reduces plastic to serve a greater purpose by being environmentally friendly,” said Lauren Olcott, Columbine Vineyards’ Marketing Representative.

The new assortment of bags are high quality and symbolize Columbine Vineyard’s commitment to excellence that is maintained by carefully hand selecting all grapes at the peak of their maturity.  In the coming months, the bags will be available at select retail grocery outlets and featured on the Company’s website.

Columbine Vineyards is a fourth generation family-owned and operated table grape grower, packer, and shipper located in the heart of California’s San Joaquin Valley.
