Strauss Brands Inc. is planning to expand its building in Franklin due to a surge in its grass fed beef business, said owner Tim Strauss.
The company, which employs 280 workers, also plans to add 30 more positions. The project has received preliminary approval of its site plan amendment application by the Franklin plan commission.
Strauss Brands, which makes veal, beef and lamb products, is planning a 3,733-square-foot addition for a refrigerated processing area and a 16,077-square-foot parking lot, in addition to putting in a conservation easement.
