Noyo Harbor's commercial salmon harvest last year set an all time record at $7.4 million, up from $2.7 million in 2012. Fishermen have been having a magnificent year in 2014.
The total harvest out of Noyo Harvest was also a record at $15.4 million. This despite a drop in record 2012 crab harvest numbers from $6.6 million to $2.4 million in 2013.
"This data highlights the importance of Noyo Harbor as an economic driver of the Mendocino Coast Community," said Kevin Michel of the Noyo Harbor District.
