Hockessin, Del. – September and Fruits & Veggies—More Matters month is just around the corner and Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) is celebrating with a ‘Fuel Up with Every Form’ toolkit and an integrated social media program. The toolkit incorporates ad slicks, memes, social media posts, POS or price signs, and a calendar listing the fruit and vegetable PBH will be highlighting daily. These elements are the perfect tools for retailers, processors, supermarket dietitians, and other health professionals to use in their consumer outreach efforts throughout Fruits & Veggies—More Matters month.
A different form of fruit and vegetables (fresh, frozen, canned, dried and 100% juice) will be featured each week on the Fruits & Veggies—More Matters Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram platforms.
* Week 1 – Fresh
* Week 2 – Frozen
* Week 3 – Canned
* Week 4 – Dried
* Week 5 – 100% fruit and vegetable juice
A post and collage image of the fruit and vegetable, along with a recipe will be featured each day to encourage consumers to eat more fruit and vegetables. Each post and meme will also provide helpful selection and storage tips.
"The available resources in the marketing toolkit coupled with the planned posts and tweets for September will easily enable everyone who supports PBH and Fruits & Veggies—More Maters to celebrate with us." said Elizabeth Pivonka, Ph.D., R.D., president and CEO of PBH. "The elements of the toolkit are colorful and eye-catching and can also be used at other times throughout the year. We always receive tremendous support from the fruit and vegetable industry and public sector in joining with us to celebrate Fruits & Veggies—More Matters month. We appreciate all of the support and are looking forward to another fantastic celebration!"
