New York, NY – Zespri Kiwifruit, a global leader in kiwifruit marketing, hosted the “Pack Zespri Tasting Event” in New York City for influential nutritionists, bloggers, and media. The event introduced Zespri’s SunGold and while educating attendees on the nutritional value of Zespri Kiwifruit, consistent quality in all of Zespri’s varieties, and Zespri’s corporate dedication to sustainability. The “Pack Zespri Tasting Event” had three stations: Zespri’s nutritional spokesperson, Rebecca Scritchfield, R.D. shared Zespri Kiwifruit nutritional benefits and how to pack healthy, on-the-go snacks; at the second station, guests tasted the differences between Zespri Green Organic and SunGold; and at the third station, Zespri’s Global Marketing Manager in Organics, Glen Arrowsmith, informed media and nutritionists about Zespri’s sustainability practices and minimizing global impact, using grower stories and video footage. Throughout the evening, guests also snacked on innovative recipes showcasing the Zespri Green Organic and SunGold varieties, while drinking refreshing, summery cocktails infused with Zespri Kiwifruit.
The “Pack Zespri Tasting Event” hosted 35 top-tier editors, bloggers, and nutritionists and has generated over 300K impressions to date. Many of the guests used #packzespri to start a national conversation on Zespri Kiwifruit. The Academy of Wellness told its followers, “Zespri Kiwifruit is super high in Vitamin C,” while Kelli Dunn, R.D. exclaimed, “Loving the SunGold Kiwis!” Bloggers informed their followers where they can purchase Zespri Kiwifruit at local retailers.
