What is Rose Month for Kids?
Rose Month for Kids raises money for children’s organizations through rose sales during the month of July. A portion of each fresh cut rose sale (one cent of each rose sold) in July will be donated to help children.
Since 2007, Koehler & Dramm and our partnering farms have raised over $35,000 for children’s needs. This includes medical supplies for the Baca Ortiz Children’s Hospital in Ecuador, building houses for homeless children in Colombia through El Minuto de Dios, and providing thousands of meals to impoverished children with Feed My Starving Children, an agency based in Minneapolis. Again this year, Koehler & Dramm is working with our partnering farms and YOU for greater impact in contributions. By everyone working together in the floral industry, amazing things can happen!
Koehler & Dramm pledges to donate 1¢ for every rose sold during the month of July. Last year, we donated $4,400, and with your help, our goal is to reach $5,000 this year!
How can you, the retail florist, get involved in Rose Month for Kids?
Each time you, the retail florist, buy fresh cut roses from Koehler & Dramm in July, you are automatically involved with Rose Month for Kids, because Koehler & Dramm will donate based on a per-rose-sold basis. It’s as simple as that!
What can you do in your own community?
If you would like to do more, choose your own children’s organization and donate a portion of your July rose sales to that organization. This year Koehler & Dramm will contribute funds towards your children’s organization during the July Rose Month for Kids program. Let your salesperson know the details of your children’s charity by July 1st so we can include them in our contributions.
