'70s Style To Embellish SAF's Premier Products Showcase

ALEXANDRIA, VA —  Dig this flower people: The hip cats from Professional Floral Communicators-International (PFCI) are hustling cool tools, far-out fresh product and hot-looking hard goods in solid '70s style at the Premier Products Showcase, an educational products review session during SAF Marco Island 2014, the Society of American Florists' (SAF's) 130th Annual Convention in Marco Island, Fla.

“Wrap your mind and hands around items that you’ve only seen in pictures, and meet cool people from the companies who make them,” said PFCI Chairman Lisa Weddel, AAF, AIFD, PFCI, of L. Weddel Design in Highlands Ranch, Colo., and one of the Showcase’s presenters. “And be psyched up as you watch how we talk up and display products and give you the skinny on how to boost profits with today’s products.”

The Premier Products Showcase is an annual demonstration of innovative strategies for using new products presented by the Professional Floral Communicators – International Board of Trustees. Joining Weddel in the products review are Marlin Hargrove, AIFD, PFCI, of the Pete Garcia Company in Atlanta; Susan Wilke, AAF, PFCI, of Karthauser & Sons Wholesale Florist in Germantown, Wis., and J. Robbin Yelverton, AAF, AIFD, PFCI, of Blumz by…JRDesigns in metro Detroit.

“Come check out the products — and the groovy threads on the presenters,” Weddel said. Suppliers — have something cool for the PFCI experts to hustle? Get your products in the Showcase.
