Author Of 'The Big Fat Surprise' To Keynote NAMA Outlook Conference

Washington, DC – North American Meat Association announced that Nina Teicholz, author of the New York Times bestselling book The Big Fat Surprise (www.thebigfatsurprise.com), will give the keynote address on Friday, September 12, 2014, at its Outlook Conference.

Teicholz’s book is a deep dive into the past sixty years of low-fat nutrition advice, and reaches the startling conclusion that it has had disastrous consequences for public health. Her talk will cover the revelations she uncovered in her research and the history of how misinformation about saturated fats took hold in the scientific community and public imagination, as well as the recent findings that overturn these beliefs.
