During the Innovert competition at the Salon du Végétal, Hortibreed won gold with its Rhododendron simsii ‘Lady Violet’ ‘HORT09’ in the “new plant” category. This azalea was appreciated for its semi-double flower with intense purple colour and early blossom, i.e. as of late October / early November. This newcomer has very dark shiny leaves and provides an expanse of colours already early in the season.
