Ali Graeme is all about dedication.
It was the Hinsdale resident’s dedication to her teenage son that caused her in 2007 to seek out alternative ways for him to enjoy eating the likes of pasta, cookies and brownies after he had been diagnosed with celiac disease. That digestive disease makes those with it not able to tolerate gluten, a common protein in wheat, rye and barley.
Shortly after finding out one of her two children no longer could eat some of the most common food products, Graeme also was diagnosed with celiac disease.
However, she didn’t spend any time sulking about the condition both she and her son had. Instead, Graeme decided to start a business. She was recently retired from a job in finance and had always enjoyed baking.
