No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the soy containing product was distributed with a label that did not reveal the presence of soy. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by an over-sight in the company's labeling process.
Production of the product has been suspended until Brunkow Cheese is certain the problem has been corrected.
Consumers who have the recalled product are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact Brunkow Cheese at 608-776-3716 Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm.
