Icing Images Introduces New Die Cutters & Embossing Folders For Spring

Winchester, VA – May 1st, Icing Images expanded their Sweet Accents die cutter inventory with five new food safe dies and two new embossing folders to grow the decorating options of the Sweet Accents system. The new selection comes just before the wedding cake season with die cutter sets and embossers that can create a wide variety of decorative elements. The new die cutter line-up includes Victorian Squares, Daisy Chain, Asian Tattoo, Star Flower Vines and Peacock Feathers. The two-sided embossing folders are Stars, Scrolls & Ornaments and Bark & Bricks, each offering two different designs.

Twice a year, Icing Images releases new die cutter sets according to the requests of their customers, the home and retail baking and cake decorating market. There are currently forty-two different die cutter sets available for the Sweet Accents system. Icing Images is currently designing the next set of designs, due out in time for the International Cake Exploration Societe’ convention in August.

Icing Images offers seven different embossing folders to allow customers to emboss designs on icing sheets. Customers can use these embossed icing sheets alone or cut them with any of the food-safe die cutters to create additional texture to cake decorations.

Early last year, Icing Images launched the Sweet Accents system to offer their customers a food-safe die cutting, embossing and stenciling system which was not yet available for bakers and cake decorators. The system allows customers to create designs for cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other desserts by cutting and embossing icing sheets. The portable system can be operated with no previous skills and works without any power source.

The Sweet Accents system has been a successful line for Icing Images, offering greater decorating possibilities to cake decorators who have experienced ease-of-use and clean cut edges with decorations created with the product line. The system works by sandwiching an icing sheet and die cutter or embosser in between two plates which are pressed while cranking them through the machine. The resulting designs are then used to create 2-D and 3-D decorations or to combine with Isomalt, gum paste or fondant to create other decorative features.

Icing Images has also experienced great reception to their latest product, DECOgel™, a gelatin-based cake decorating medium. Inventory has gone out as quickly as the orders have come in as no similar medium is offered by any U.S. supplier. DECOgel offers the look of Isomalt in nine transparent colors, plus the opaque appearance of fondant or gum paste with the white, used alone or in combination with any of the other DECOgel colors.

DECOgel offers several advantages to bakers and cake decorators; it melts at a lower temperature than Isomalt, decreasing the chance of getting burned. It also can be refrigerated – Isomalt becomes sticky from the condensation created from refrigeration.

“We are thrilled to provide these innovative products to cake decorators and bakers, who are always seeking new tools and mediums to further their decorating options, while remaining easy enough to use for the beginner.” – Deborah Coughlin, Icing Images owner.

Icing Images has been a leading distributor of edible photo and edible paper art supplies for over a decade, offering edible ink printers, edible ink, icing sheets, electronic and manual die cutters, and DECOgel to retail bakeries, home bakers and cake decorators.
