With the help of the Green Bay Packers’ wide receivers, Sargento Foods donated $11,500 to Paul’s Pantry.
Sargento is donating $500 for each touchdown scored by a Packers wide receiver. James Jones contributed four of the 23 touchdowns, with three games left in the regular season.
“Hopefully we’ll get a few more,” Jones said at a news conference Tuesday morning announcing the gift. “We just want to say thanks to Paul’s Pantry and Sargento for blessing people with food and putting smiles on their faces.”
The temporary check presented Tuesday at the Lambeau Field Atrium in Green Bay represents “something to build on,” said Louie Gentine, president of Sargento’s consumer products division.
