Moark, which started in the 1950s, has 16.1 million hens, making it the third-largest egg producer. But it's a small part of Land O'Lakes business — in 2012, it generated $735 million of the company's total $14.1 billion in sales— and it's been unprofitable, losing $25 million in 2013 after a $34 million loss in 2012 and a $3 million loss in 2011.
