In order to better prepare students for increased educational performance through the fuel of a nutritious snack, C.H. Robinson, the exclusive provider of Mott’s® fresh apples, recently donated over 500 bags of ready-to-eat, sliced fresh apples to the children of Pleasant Valley Elementary, a local Title 1 school, located in Amarillo, TX.
The Mott’s® fresh apple slices provided the children, who may not have had access to convenient, fresh produce, with a nutritious snack to enjoy before the State of Texas’ Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) testing on March 31 and April 17.
“We are so thankful that Mott’s® has committed to supporting our school,” said Lisa Neese, Principal at Pleasant Valley Elementary. “It means a great deal to us that these kids got to start their day with a healthy snack.”
“It’s our pleasure to provide the students at Pleasant Valley Elementary school with Mott’s® fresh apple slices,” commented Drew Schwartzhoff, director of marketing at C.H. Robinson. “Slices are a convenient healthy way to start the day, for both children and adults alike.”
Mott’s® fresh apples are offered year-round in stores across the country and aim to provide consumers with a convenient and healthy product merchandised under a brand that they trust. For more information about Mott’s® fresh apples check out their website at www.mottsfresh.com.
