Mi Pueblo Foods said Thursday it was "confident" it would successfully emerge from bankruptcy, two days after filing a reorganization plan that relies on a very quick approval.
"The plan submitted to the federal bankruptcy court this week positions Mi Pueblo well to move forward and to refocus on its core mission — to provide our customers with authentic products and services that are of the highest quality and freshness," company spokeswoman Perla Rodriguez said.
"While there is still work to accomplish in the near term, we remain very confident that we will emerge from bankruptcy as a stronger and better capitalized company. We thank our customers for their loyalty during this difficult transition period and can ensure you that Mi Pueblo’s commitment to its customers, their families and our community will never change."
