Plains Dairy celebrated the completion of a multimillion-dollar plant expansion by inviting company and community leaders in for a toast with milk and cookies.
The dairy at 300 N. Taylor St., north of downtown Amarillo, spent two years expanding the plant’s capacity, modernizing it for product development and upgrading it according to more stringent federal regulations, President Greg Meador said.
When the project began in 2012, Meador estimated the job would cost $10 million.
